Microsoft Azure AD becomes Entra ID

Microsoft over the last twelve months has been renaming Azure Active Directory to Entra ID.

A new blog post from Microsoft details all the changes in EntraID – link.

The forefront of this is to protect the identities and access of all its users. In the current world of social media, working from home and most people’s activities being on the internet, cyberattacks, scammers and phishing campaigns are more frequent and sophisticated affecting everyone and organizations.

Microsoft Entra ID Protection (currently Azure AD Identity Protection) will help IT and identity practitioners prevent accounts from being compromised.

Microsoft Entra ID Governance enhance productivity and security

Microsoft Entra External ID build more secure, flexible and people-centric authentication experiences in customer and partner applications

Microsoft Entra Verified ID verify once, use everywhere

New dashboard have been rolled out as well for Entra

No action is needed from users as part of this change from Microsoft

Spigen Rugged Armor Pro Designed for Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro Band

I was very close on not getting this and sticking with the standard band that come with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. So glad I did make this purchase, it feels nice and comfy on the wrist, I don’t need to adjust it once on there.

The Spigen band give the watch a full protection around the watch, so you don’t have to worry about small knocks. Unless the knock hits the watch face, so careful on that. To put this band on you will need to unclip the existing Samsung band, it has small metal slides to unclip the band, once done get the watch and push it in to the Spigen band, a little force to help it in there. Don’t worry you wont break the watch or band.

AMD Ryzen 5600x CPU

In one of my earlier posts, I talked about the Red Dragon RX6800. I paired this up with this monster of a CPU. Yes, it’s not the top of the line but to an average gamer like myself and using the PC for day-to-day work as well. This CPU hasn’t let me down one bit.

Running in at 6 cores and 12 threads this CPU can run multiple workloads, while you watch YouTube and do your spreadsheet if you so wish too.

Want to run the latest triple-A games, for me like Rainbow Six Seige or COD Modern Warefare II, this will do the trick for you. You don’t need to break the bank to have fun with this CPU.

Enter the Red Dragon

The powerful, PowerColor Red Dragon AMD Radeon™ RX 6800 Gaming Graphics card with 16GB GDDR6 memory, powered by AMD RDNA™ 2. This is the GPU I got a few years ago back in 2021. This was the start of my first gaming pc build for years. Still, today is going strong!

Running on my dual 1440p monitors, the triple-A titles look stunning! I’ve never had any overheating issues, and the updates from AMD’s Adrenalin software have no issues compared to previous iterations.

Will I be getting another AMD GPU, you are damn right!

Spigen OneTap Smartlock

Here is the Spigen OneTap Smartlock (Auto Lock) mechanism. This is one of my hands-down best phone holders, out of all the ones I have used in the past, this one wirelessly charges the phone and you still can have the Samsung Fold 4 unfolded and running Google maps without draining the battery.

I have used a few Spigen products over the years, they are in my opinion up there. Very durable and last a long time. Recently got the Spigen Samsung watch 5 Pro case. Will write up a review on that over the next few weeks.
